Who doesn’t like beer? There are some really great microbreweries in the same neighborhood as the Indy Hostel. This package offers all of the best and more. Here is a summary of the brew pubs your pallet will enjoy when you take part in this Tour of Beer.

The Package:

Beer Beer & more Beer – A tour of Indy’s finest brew pubs and microbreweries. Make 5 stops and try whatever you like.

Food – One stop will be dinner. Most of the pubs on the tour have a full menu and will be glad to host the evening meal. As well there are appetizers everywhere!

Transportation – You have a ride. Don’t worry about parking, cops, directions, or gas money. We got it covered.

Sleep – You have a bed to sleep in at the one and only Indy Hostel.

3 Wise Men – Opened in 2011 new, but not really. With one of the most experienced master brewers in town you will not be disappointed by anything on the list. With a full menu, great pizza, and 5 house beers this is a great stop. In addition there are usually 2 seasonal selections. Recommended is their Blackberry Wheat, although I am not a huge wheat fan this is a great beer.

Brugge – Pronounced like luge, the down- hill sledding mechanism only seen once every 4 years. A Belgium style brewery that includes a full Belgium style menu. With Crepes, Frites, and some great stews, this pub is good all around. Their beer of choice, for me, is the Tripple de Ripple Belgium style wheat good and good for ya.

Broadripple Brewpub – Indy’s original brew pub with a full dinner fare and many great brews on tap. This is an English style pub with dark woodwork, stained glass, and darts. With 6-7 brews on tap all brewed in traditional English fashion. Their claim to fame is the ESB - good stuff!

Upland Brewery – The Bloomington Indiana based brewery has a tasting room right down the street. They do offer pretzels from the shop just a few blocks south that keep your pallet clean and ready for more of their great flavors. With flights or pints this is a great stop. They have 5 regular beers and a couple seasonal. The Dragon Fly IPA is their flag ship beer.

One Optional Brewery on each tour :

Sun King – Voted the best brewery in Indianapolis. They have some great beers and operate as a distributor. Their tasting room is open on Fri Sat and Sun for limited hours. Well worth the visit!

Flat 12 – One of Indy’s newest pubs. Great stop known for their incredible Porter.

Bier Brewery – Recently won local brew master award for their extensive beer selection. They brew every week. There is no telling what they may have on tap. Open for tastings on Saturdays.
